One of the main reasons why we decided to offer these delicious Valencian avocados is because they are considered a superfood due to their healthy characteristics, among which are their high content of:

Healthy fats: especially oleic acid, which is beneficial for cardiovascular health. These healthy fats help reduce LDL cholesterol levels (known as "bad" cholesterol) and may contribute to a lower risk of heart disease.

Dietary fiber: which makes them an ally for digestive health. Fiber helps maintain a healthy digestive system, prevents constipation and promotes satiety, which can be useful for weight control.

Vitamins and minerals: they are an excellent source of vitamin K, vitamin E, vitamin C, vitamin B-6, folic acid and potassium. These nutrients play a crucial role in bone health, immune system function, skin health and much more.

Antioxidants: contain antioxidants such as lutein and zeaxanthin, which are beneficial to eye health. These compounds help protect the eyes from free radical damage and may reduce the risk of age-related eye diseases such as cataracts and macular degeneration.

These characteristics are common to all avocado varieties, but then each one has its own characteristics of flavor, texture and appearance.

In our case, the variety we have is the one grown here in the Valencian orchard, which produces creamy avocados full of flavor, in addition to being the most sustainable in the world. At the right point of ripeness, they have the amount of fat that makes them a superfood with which to combine cereals, vegetables, fruit, tuna... there are no limits.

On mornings when I'm salty, I love to start the day with toast with avocado, cheese and a drizzle of olive oil. A healthy and complete breakfast to start the day with energy.

By the way, we send the avocados a little green, but in a couple of days they will be great. If you need to speed up the ripening process, there is a homemade trick. Place the avocados in a paper bag along with a ripe apple or banana. These fruits release ethylene gas, which helps accelerate the ripening of avocados.
