SHIPPING POLICY
At CitrusRicus we harvest and ship fresh fruit directly from the tree to your home. Here is how it works.
1. HARVESTING
We harvest Monday to Friday, every working day, to guarantee maximum freshness. Exceptionally, if weather conditions do not allow it (heavy rain, frost, etc.), harvesting may be delayed to the next working day.
Your order is harvested, selected and packed on the same day or the next working day after order confirmation, depending on what time the order is received.
2. SHIPPING DAYS
Orders are dispatched Monday to Friday. We do not ship on Saturdays, Sundays or national or regional public holidays in the Valencian Community.
For perishable products (fresh fruit and vegetables), we avoid shipping in a way that would leave the parcel in transit over a weekend. Orders placed from Thursday afternoon onwards may therefore be dispatched the following Monday.
3. DELIVERY TIMES
Iberian Peninsula (Spain and Portugal):
Delivery within 24 hours of dispatch (1 working day). In rural or hard-to-reach areas, the timeframe may extend to 48 hours.
Balearic Islands:
Delivery within 48 to 72 working hours of dispatch, depending on the island and maritime transport availability.
Rest of Europe:
Depends on the destination country. Main destinations include Germany, Austria, Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Italy, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Norway, Poland, Sweden and the United Kingdom.
Indicative transit times:
• 1 to 2 working days: Spain and Portugal.
• 2 to 4 working days: Germany, Austria, Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Monaco and Switzerland.
• 3 to 6 working days: Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Sweden and the United Kingdom.
The above times may vary for reasons beyond our control (adverse weather, carrier issues, etc.). Any resulting delay shall not constitute grounds for penalty or give rise to any contractual or non-contractual liability.
We will use the logistics provider best suited for each order. For this reason we cannot accept carriers contracted by you, and we reserve the right to change logistics providers at any time without prior notice.
4. SHIPPING ZONES AND RESTRICTIONS
We ship to:
• Mainland Spain
• Portugal
• Balearic Islands
• European Union countries and selected European countries (Switzerland, Norway, United Kingdom)
We do NOT ship to:
• Canary Islands
• Ceuta and Melilla
• Countries outside Europe
The restrictions for the Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla are due to phytosanitary and customs regulations applicable to these territories, as well as transit times that are excessive for perishable products.
5. SHIPPING COSTS
Shipping costs are calculated automatically at checkout based on order weight and delivery destination. You will see the total shipping cost before confirming payment.
6. CARRIER
We work with leading express and temperature-controlled transport companies to ensure fruit arrives in the best possible condition. We reserve the right to select the most appropriate carrier for each shipment based on destination, volume and product type.
Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive an email with your tracking number so you can follow your parcel at all times.
7. RECEIVING YOUR ORDER
It is important that someone is available to receive the order at the address provided. As these are perishable products, the parcel should not be left uncollected for extended periods.
When your order arrives, please check the condition of the packaging before signing for delivery. If the packaging is damaged, note this on the carrier’s delivery note and contact us immediately at hola@citrusricus.com with photographs.
