Part of the family are proper lemon devotees. When I was young, my grandmother always had lemonade in the fridge — lemon juice, water and sugar to taste. Simple, healthy, nourishing. In fact, if your stomach is off, there's hardly anything better.

And of course, no one at home says no to a slice of lemon cake — our neighbour makes an excellent one, and whenever she bakes, she brings us some.

One kilogramme of lemons contains roughly 6 pieces. This naturally depends on the season and the age of the tree — there may be a few more.
