Dacosta is a renowned chef who has perfected these recipes using traditional techniques and top-quality ingredients from the Valencia region. You can taste his passion for local cuisine in every bite.

But seriously, the important thing is that you try them. You won’t regret it. Let us know what you think!

Gourmet Paella Kit Varieties

A Fuego rice dishes are made with natural, high-quality ingredients and are a nutritious option within the Mediterranean diet. Each variety has been carefully crafted for authentic flavour and easy preparation at home.

Choose from three gourmet rice dishes:

  • Valencian Paella: Classic rice with chicken, rabbit and traditional vegetables like garrofó (lima beans) and bajoqueta (flat green beans).

  • Rice with Ribs: Made with pork ribs, chicken, baby broad beans, mushrooms and red pepper.

  • Black Rice: With squid, cuttlefish, spring garlic, squid ink, and a rich rock fish broth.

Our experience.

The instructions are clear and simple. Also, there is a very good explanatory video.

Anyway, sometimes it’s complicated to follow everything the professionals say because home kitchens don’t have as many utensils, the heat is different, etc.

So we thought we’d tell you things that happened to us and how we solved them because, even though we’re Valencian, rice doesn’t always turn out the same.

The first thing is the heat power. You surely always wonder if it’s too high or too low. In this case, we applied the same trick as when cooking rice from scratch: watch the broth level and whether the rice is hard or not.

If you see the broth is running out quickly, lower the heat. It’s easier to fix excess broth at the end than running out of broth too soon.

But if, on the contrary, you see the rice is quite cooked but there’s too much broth left, increase the heat so the broth evaporates.

The resting time is the finishing touch. If the rice grain is a bit hard and you prefer it softer, cover it with aluminium foil during the 5 minutes it rests. It will finish cooking without heat. If you like it as it is, leave it uncovered.

How should I keep it?

Store in a cool, dry place. And be sure to keep the container tightly closed after each use.

How do we use it?

In our Valencian family, almost every Sunday we gather around a paella. But let’s be honest, making it from scratch takes time.

When we tried these rices, they seemed the ideal solution for those days when we want to enjoy without spending two hours in the kitchen. Now, many Sundays we prepare Quique Dacosta’s A Fuego rice and keep enjoying the paella ritual without complications.

If you follow our example, you’ll have a little piece of Valencian cuisine on your table. You’ll tell us!

Guillermo's Warranty

You know we don’t offer anything we haven’t tried ourselves first. And if it’s here it’s because we thought it was incredible. In fact, we’re sure you’ll enjoy it as much as we do, or even more.
